Detailed Info
Cruise the Mamanucas aboard the picturesque tall ship and spend your evenings on land in the comfort of a traditional thatch bure (linen supplied) in the Southern Yasawas. The safari village is base camp for early morning and evening activities including sunset swims, fishing tours, island treks, campfire BBQs and lovo (earth oven) feasts.
Three Night Sailing Itinerary
Departs 9.00am every Thursday
Returns 4.00pm Sunday
Thursday
Set sail for the Southern Yasawa Islands arriving at the Safari Village under the mid afternoon sun. Settle into the village, explore the island and snorkel in the bay.
Friday
An early morning island trek, then sail north to a fabulous reef for fishing. After lunch we depart for Drawaqa Island, a snorkelling and swimming bay. In the late afternoon we return to the Safari Village.
Saturday
Leisurely morning to explore the island and learn about the local environment. After lunch we sail to a traditional island village and participate in the Sevusevu Welcome Ceremony, meke (dance) and shell market. In late afternoon we return to the Safari Village for a special lovo (earth oven) feast.
Sunday
Bid farewell to the volcanic cliffs of Waya and set sail for a spectacular reef. This afternoon we visit Tivua Island before returning to Denarau Marina. Isa Lei farewell.
